Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all lessons and services provided by Jasmin Keshavarzi ("the Teacher").

By booking a lesson or purchasing any tuition package, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully before booking.

1. BOOKING LESSONS

a) Lessons may be booked through the online booking system or by another method agreed with the Teacher.

b) Regular Student Packages are arranged directly with the Teacher and are subject to availability.

c) A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received or an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed.

2. LESSON FEES & PAYMENT

a) Lesson fees are published on the website and may be reviewed periodically.

b) Payment is normally taken at the time of booking through the online booking system.

c) Where an alternative payment method has been agreed, payment must be made by the agreed date. If payment is not received, the Teacher reserves the right to cancel the booking or suspend future lessons until payment has been received.

d) Any future fee changes will always be communicated in advance and will only apply to future bookings or tuition packages.

3. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

a) Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled lesson time.

Where sufficient notice is not given:

  • 24–48 hours' notice: 50% of the lesson fee will be payable.

  • Less than 24 hours' notice: The full lesson fee will be payable.

b) Where possible, cancelled lessons may be rescheduled within these notice periods.

c) In exceptional circumstances, cancellations will always be considered with fairness and discretion.

4. ILLNESS

a) If you are feeling mildly unwell but are still able to participate, lessons can often be adapted to focus on areas such as musicianship, vocal health, performance preparation, repertoire or theory.

b) If you are experiencing vocal fatigue or strain, attending your lesson is often beneficial, as we can assess what is happening and discuss appropriate recovery strategies.

c) If you are genuinely too unwell to participate, please let me know as soon as possible in accordance to section 3.

5. ATTENDANCE

a) Please arrive or log in no more than five minutes before your lesson.

b) If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible.

c) Lessons will finish at the scheduled end time regardless of your arrival time.

d) If you do not attend your lesson without notice, I will attempt to contact you after approximately 10 minutes. If I have not heard from you after 15 minutes, the lesson will be treated as a missed lesson and no refund will be offered.

6. LESSON DELIVERY

a) Lessons are available online and, where offered, as home visits.

b) For online lessons, students are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • a suitable internet connection;

  • a device capable of running the lesson platform;

  • a quiet space suitable for learning.

c) Whilst every effort will be made to complete lessons as planned, the Teacher cannot accept responsibility for technical issues beyond reasonable control.

d) Home visits are offered subject to location, travel distance and availability.

e) For home visits, students are responsible for providing a safe, suitable and distraction-free space in which the lesson can take place.

7. COMMUNICATION

a) Communication regarding students under the age of 18 will normally take place with a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise agreed.

b) Emails and messages will be responded to as soon as reasonably possible during normal working hours.

8. SAFEGUARDING & PRIVACY

a) Safeguarding is taken seriously and appropriate policies are in place to support the wellbeing of all students.

b) Personal information is collected and processed in accordance with the Privacy Notice, which explains how your information is stored, used and protected.

c) To support learning, audio or video recordings may occasionally be made during lessons by either the Teacher or the student, or students may choose to send recordings between lessons for feedback. These recordings are used solely for educational purposes and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice.

d) Photographs, videos, testimonials or student achievements will only ever be shared publicly with the student's explicit consent (or the consent of a parent or legal guardian where appropriate). Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

a) Any exercises, resources, recordings, written materials or other teaching content provided during lessons remain the intellectual property of the Teacher unless otherwise stated.

b) These resources are provided for your personal use only and must not be copied, distributed or shared without prior permission.

10. LIABILITY

a) Students are responsible for informing the Teacher of any relevant medical conditions, injuries or changes that may affect their participation in lessons.

b) Whilst tuition is based on current evidence and best practice, singing lessons do not replace medical assessment or treatment. Where appropriate, students should seek advice from a suitably qualified healthcare professional.

c) The Teacher shall not be liable for any loss or interruption caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.

11. EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCE

a) In exceptional circumstances beyond the Teacher's reasonable control, lessons may need to be rearranged, moved online or otherwise adapted.

b) Where possible, suitable alternative arrangements will be offered and any changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably practicable.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

a) These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the business or the services provided.

b) The latest version will always be available on the website and will apply to future bookings.
